Rookwood is a 9,000 sq ft replacement dwelling located within an established residential setting in the heart of Beaconsfield. The project involved the creation of a substantial new family home, combining traditional architectural detailing with contemporary living requirements.
 

Boulder Consultants provided structural engineering services for the development, working alongside the design team to deliver a robust and considered structural solution that complemented the architectural intent. The design required careful coordination to achieve the large open internal spaces, generous levels of natural light and the high-quality finishes throughout the property.

The structure was developed to support the traditional external appearance, including the detailed brickwork, arches and carefully considered proportions, while allowing the internal layout to provide flexible family spaces and modern functionality. Particular attention was given to integrating the structural elements discreetly, ensuring the engineering remained sympathetic to the architectural vision.
